DOULA in Poland Association
The association was founded in 2011 to unite and educate highly qualified doulas, to support women and their families in the time of pregnancy, labor and the postnatal period. Our goal is to advance good perinatal practices and habits, together with promoting conscious and engaged parenting.
DOULA in Poland Association was registered in the National Court Register on 15th of November 2011. It was created to unite and educate highly qualified doulas, doulas- candidates and supporters of the doula-ing concept. We want to pursue the noble ideas of western doula associations in our country and to develop our own national standards. The main goal of doulas from our Association is to support women and their families in the time of pregnancy, labor and the postnatal period. Our purpose is also to advance good perinatal practices and habits, raise awareness concerning perinatal issues and promote conscious and engaged parenting, which we pursue in cooperation with other Polish Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). We also collaborate with other doula associations, both from Europe and the United States, and try to draw as much as possible from their experience to support doulas and women in Poland as efficiently as possible.
