Michèle Birchler-Stratmann, Switzerland
For many years both my private and professional life has been devoted to the welfare of mothers, fathers and children in the formative period surrounding pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and family time. I have worked as a doula since 2001 and was a doula trainer from 2006-2011. For several years I have been the head of the doula information centre Switzerland, a member of the core group establishing ‘Doula CH‘ and as co-founder of the European Doula Network. With my husband and my five children I live happily high above Lake Zurich.
Regula Brunner, Switzerland
I have been a doula since 2001 and a doula trainer in German speaking Switzerland since 2007. The construction of a European Doula Network is a vision I have been working on for years together with many other doulas. Through my studies in management of Non Profit Organisations I had the inspiration to finally transform the vision into reality. Beside my Doula-Work, I am a psychologist and career counsellor. I have 2 children and live in downtown Zurich in an apartment with a guestroom which can be used by doulas from all over Europe and Overseas. Let us network while travelling whenever possible!
